Testing the panel
Solar panel testing plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, durability, and overall performance of photovoltaic systems. Working with Loughborough University we offer a testing process to see whether one client’s redundant solar panels are efficient enough for someone else’s needs. Rigorous testing procedures are employed to assess the functionality of the panels.
This includes:
Testing the panel under standard illumination conditions (STC AMG 1.5) to determine its efficiency.
Infrared thermography to discover hotspots.
Electroluminescence testing to detect microcracks and soldering issues.
Electrical fault testing to test for faults to ground.
This procedure allows us to classify the overall health of the panel & determine if it can be safely reused & provide the client a complete picture of the assets status.
